I did a test shoot with photographer Kyle RM Johnson this past weekend and here are some of the selects!
I’m excited to announce that the wonderful Wendy Peldon of Caviar Entertainment is now my manager! I feel that I’m in a place in my career where I’m ready to push myself forward to the next level, and I am hopeful that Wendy will be a strong player on my team in making that happen.
Dreams are in action my friends. Dreams are in action.
I train at the Beverly Hills Playhouse where on an annual basis actors in the advanced scene study classes are challenged to be involved in making short films happen. So I wrote (and rewrote and rewrote) a script, gathered up a cast and crew, and we made it happen.
The film is called Behind Closed Doors and is about a young woman (Rei) trying to escape an abusive relationship with her lesbian partner (Melissa). One of my goals was to bring to light the presence of domestic violence in queer relationships through a dramatic narrative.
We showed a rough cut of the film at BHP’s film festival, and are currently in post-production. I’m hoping to submit Behind Closed Doors to festivals this coming year.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project! I’ll be posting more on the film as we progress. It’s been an inspiring process writing and producing my own work and I’m looking forward to creating more films.
Sharknado is coming to a theater near you! Oh yes, Sharknado is screening at roughly 200 theaters nationwide at midnight this Friday, August 2nd. For folks in the Los Angeles area, it’ll be showing at Regal L.A. Live Stadium 14, Edwards Long Beach Stadium 26 & IMAX, and Edwards Alhambra Renaissance Stadium 14 & IMAX. Tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased here.
I’m hoping I can make it out to one of the showings as I miraculously have not seen the entire film just yet (I know! Right?). Should be a good night of fun for all. Hope to see you there!
